  • Electoral Bureaus. For the good organizing and development of the operations specific to the electoral period, the state is organizing the Central Electoral Bureau, district electoral bureaus, and electoral bureaus of the polling stations.

  • The Central Electoral Bureau is made up  of 7 judges of the Supreme Court (Inalta Curte de Casatie si Justitie), the presidents and vice-presidents of the Permanent Electoral Authority, 16 representatives of the political parties and their alliances, which participate in the elections, and a designated representative of the parliamentary group of the national minorities from the Chamber of Deputies.

  • Crimes.
  • Hindering the exercise of the right to elect or to be elected in any means represents a crime and is punished with imprisonment from 6 months to 5 years and prohibition of some constitutional rights.
  • The act of a person of voting without having the right to vote or of voting twice or more times in the elections day represents a crime and is punished with imprisonment from  6 months to 5 years.
  • The attack in any means over the location of the polling stations, the theft of 1 or more electoral documents represent crimes and are punished with imprisonment from 2 to 7 years, unless the act represents a more serious crime.
